Holiday Giving 2025

We serve 8,000 youth annually, 80% of which are living at or below the poverty line and 92% are not receiving services elsewhere. You can give one or more of our kids the gift of a happy holiday this season.

HOLIDAY GIVING 2025

For over 15 years, our Holiday Giving program has brought joy to thousands of children. But the needs of our youth continue long after the holidays are over. This holiday season, the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester invites you to join us in focusing on presence—the powerful, lasting impact of showing up for our youth—rather than just presents.

With challenging times impacting our community, our priority is to ensure that every child who walks through our doors has a safe space, caring mentors, and opportunities to grow—not just during the holidays, but all year long.

We will continue to host a festive holiday party for our youth and teens—featuring food, activities, and the opportunity to select a gift—while shifting our focus toward raising the essential funds needed to keep our doors open, sustain our programs, and strengthen our mission. Your contribution ensures that our Club remains a place where young people can learn, lead, and thrive every day and into the future.

Here are 7 Ways to Make the Holidays Special for Our Kids and Club:

  1. Make a Monetary Gift in Tribute to Someone Special
Your donation in honor or memory of a loved one will help sustain vital programs for youth ages 5–19. Your support fuels initiatives in athletics, the arts, workforce development, education, STEM, literacy, leadership, aquatics, our food pantry, and the Kids Café.
  2. Sponsor a Holiday Party
Bring holiday cheer to one of our program sites by sponsoring a celebration:
    • School Age Child Care Program – $1,250
    • Great Brook Valley Program – $750
    • Plumley Village Program – $750
    • Harrington Clubhouse – $3,000
    • Teen Program – $2,000
  3. Provide a Holiday Meal
Help provide a special dinner at the Harrington Clubhouse for around 300 youth! You can get involved by preparing the meal alongside your family, friends, or co-workers (ServSafe certification required), making a financial donation, or coordinating with a caterer to supply the feast.
  4. Nourish Families in Need Through Our Food Pantry Program
Help local families by donating gift cards in denominations of $50 or higher for grocery and essential shopping (Target, Walmart, Stop & Shop, Shaw’s, Price Chopper, and more).
  5. Brighten the Holidays for Teens*
During the holidays, teens can often be overlooked. Help us change that by supporting our teens with $25 gift cards—giving them the joy and choice they deserve this season. Popular options include Target, Amazon, Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sephora, Old Navy, or mall gift cards.
  6. Give the Gift of Play* Donate new toys, board games, and dolls for children ages 5–12 or take it a step further by hosting a toy drive or setting up a giving tree with gift ideas at your business, holiday party, or place of worship.
  7. Join Us at the Festival of Trees, our Holiday Fundraiser
Attend our festive Festival of Trees event on December 5 & 6—a celebration for all ages!

Your gift will make a profound difference for the 8,000 youth we serve each year, 80% of whom live at or below the poverty line, and 92% who have nowhere else to turn for support. With your generosity, these young people receive more than just holiday cheer; they gain ongoing mentorship, nutritious meals, academic assistance, and a safe, nurturing environment they depend on all year long.

Your presence makes the difference. Together, we can give our kids the gift of hope, joy, and opportunity—this season and beyond.
