Celebrating the Achievements of our Black Leaders at the Club

Celebrating and honoring the extraordinary contributions and achievements of our Black leaders at the Club.

Shauree Allotey, our Director of Operations, also oversees programs and services at our largest site, the Harrington Clubhouse. Nearly 20 years ago, Shauree walked through our doors as the Club’s first-ever Dance Director—and she has been a leader ever since. Her creativity, dedication, inclusive leadership, and exceptional team-building skills continue to strengthen and inspire our entire organization.

Precious Ansah-Opoku has served as our Director of Individual and Family Services since 2019 and holds a Master of Social Work. Her deep empathy, trauma-informed approach, and ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships make her an invaluable asset to our community.

Josh Brown has been part of the Club family for 17 years and currently serves as Unit Director at our Great Brook Valley site. His expertise in gang prevention and his impactful work with teens are deeply valued. Josh is an integral member of the team supporting key initiatives at GBV, including efforts to provide licensed child care and to build a state-of-the-art Clubhouse that will allow us to serve even more youth and teens.

Tanaha Bailey, Director of our School Age Child Care Program, has worked at the Club for nearly five years and brings extensive experience in the Early Education and Care field. Her enthusiasm, joyful spirit, and unwavering commitment to families shine through in her work each and every day.
