Mildred is a proud Worcester native and lifelong member of the Boys & Girls Club community. As a Club kid at the Ionic Avenue location, Mildred discovered a love for creativity and connection, often spending time painting, drawing, and swimming. In high school, Mildred continued that journey as a Summer Teen Counselor at the Great Brook Valley site, working under the mentorship of Cindy Jackson. During that time, weekly walks to the GBV community pool became a favorite tradition and lasting memory.
A graduate of Worcester Public Schools and a first-generation college graduate, Mildred carries a deep sense of pride in both personal and academic accomplishments. Today, Mildred is a devoted Club mom, raising two children who are also active Club members. Being their biggest cheerleader—whether on the sidelines of football, baseball, basketball, softball, and field hockey games or at school events—is one of Mildred’s greatest joys.
Professionally, Mildred works in the corporate sector and is a strong advocate for positivity, cultural awareness, and the empowerment of women. Outside of work, Mildred remains deeply committed to giving back, frequently volunteering in the community as a Spanish translator and supporting events through her church.
