Seth A. Pitts is the President and CEO of Bay State Savings Bank. He spent over a decade in public service at the US Department of Agriculture – Rural Development and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. He left public service in 2020 to serve his local community as the Chief Financial Officer at Bay State Savings Bank. There he helped the Bank successfully navigate through pandemic- and economic-related challenges. In 2023, he became the President and CEO and is committed to improving the strength of the bank and creating a lasting impact for our communities. Seth aims to leverage the power of local banking and financial education to help strengthen our communities, support economic growth, and inspire the next generation of leaders. He is a commissioned federal bank examiner and holds a Masters in Finance from the University of Massachusetts Boston and a Bachelors in Accounting and Finance from Worcester State University. Outside of work, Seth serves on the Seven Hills Foundation Board of Trustees, the Worcester State University Foundation Board, the Worcester Business Improvement District Board, and the Worcester Trust Fund Commission.
