Richard Culross

Year of Induction:
2024

Richard’s connection to the Boys & Girls Club began with memorable days spent building friendships and staying active—playing games with friends, swimming, and shooting baskets in the gym. Those early experiences helped shape a lifelong commitment to the Club, which later came full circle when Richard served as President of the Board during the construction of the new building on Tainter Street.

A graduate of Worcester Junior College with an Associate Degree in Business Administration, Richard built a successful career as Vice President of Nine Points Woodworking Corporation before retiring. Alongside professional achievements, Richard has remained deeply engaged in civic life, including membership in the Worcester Rotary Club and serving as President of the Auburn Rotary Club from 1987 to 1988.

Richard’s dedication to public service extends across multiple areas, having served as Sewer Commissioner for the Town of Auburn and contributing 18 years of service to the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. During that time, Richard held a leadership role as Commander of Coast Guard Flotilla 10-10 from 2010 to 2013.
