I became a Club member as soon as I turned 8 years old, and have since participated in programs such as dance, leadership groups, Job Ready, and college prep. I couldn’t wait to sign up so I could join InDaZone, the dance team, and work with our coach, Shauree Allotey. My relationship with Shauree has been the foundation of my Club experience for the past 9 years. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the support of InDaZone, and Shauree, Josh, and Cassie’s guidance through some very difficult times. In order to sustain my spot on the team, I need to complete at least 10 hours of community service a month, maintain a 3.2 GPA and mentor younger Club members. I love providing the same support that was given to me when I was their age. I think that if you have something to offer, it’s your responsibility to share it with others. That is the only way our world will move forward in a positive, peaceful and productive way.
