Spring into the warm (hopefully!) weather with some of our upcoming events. The next few months will be busy at the Club, and we hope you will join us as we celebrate our youth, our organization and a very important milestone in our history.

Meat Raffle to benefit the Club- On Saturday, April 13th, Friends of the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, a group of Club alum and community volunteers, will be hosting a meat raffle at The Ballot Box, located at 11 Kelley Square in Worcester. Club supporters will get together from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. to enjoy participating in a raffle showcasing their favorite meats for the upcoming summer season. A 50/50 raffle will also be available. State Youth of the Year Competition- On March 5th and 6th, our Club will host the statewide Youth of the Year competition, welcoming youth and staff from 40 Boys & Girls Clubs from all over Massachusetts. Natalyna Perez, our 2019 Club Youth of the Year, will compete against fellow teens from each of the 40 Clubs for the state title. Judges from around the Commonwealth will come together and choose one youth to represent our state at the regional and national level. Their decision will be based on academics, presence, community service and their personal story.

130th Birthday Celebration- We’re turning 130 years old! On Thursday, June 13th, we will be hosting our birthday celebration at our Annual Meeting, being held at Hanover Insurance. In addition to the birthday festivities, we will be honoring our Alumni Hall of Fame recipients, high schools seniors during our commencement ceremony, Club volunteers, and everyone who has helped make our organization so successful for 130 years. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served. Tickets are $25/ piece.
