POSITION: Program Assistants for Harrington, Great Brook Valley & Plumley
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations or Unit Director
HOURS OF WORK: Full Time – 30 to 40 hours per week
WORK STATUS: Non-Exempt - Seasonal
The Boys & Girls Club of Worcester is a nonprofit, charitable, educational organization recognized as a leading advocate for youth development, working to help youth of all backgrounds.

We provide girls and boys with effective diverse programs and services; and demonstrate that caring adults can truly help young people grow into contributing human beings with the necessary skills for living.
Reporting to the Director of Operations at the Harrington site or to the Unit Directors at the outreach sites in Great Brook Valley and Plumley Village, the Program Assistants at each site will assist with providing fun and engaging social, recreational, and educational activities to children ages 8 -18.
The Program Assistant will support the work of Director of Operations or Unit Directors and may participate in the planning and implementation of special programs or events. Participation in other Clubhouse activities may be required, as necessary.
Position is a summer seasonal position for eight weeks from June 26th through August 18th, plus one week of training prior to program implementation. Must be available to work day shifts between the hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. depending on each site. Monday through Friday. Must have flexibility and reliable transportation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school degree (or equivalent) required. A minimum of one-year work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar youth development organization with planning and supervising activities preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
- CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish & English) but not required
