The Youth of the Year (YOY) award is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club member can receive. The title recognizes outstanding contributions to a member’s family, school, community and Boys & Girls Club, as well as personal challenges and obstacles overcome. Each year our organization, along with thousands of other Boys & Girls Clubs throughout this nation, host Youth of the Year competitions to select one youth that embodies leadership, service, and academic excellence. Over the past ten years, two of our Club's Youths of the Year have also won the state championship (surpassing youth from 40 different Clubs in the state) and have represented Massachusetts in the regional competition. We are proud of all of our YOYs because they truly represent our goal of transforming today's youth into tomorrow's leaders.
