Scholarships

Each year, the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester awards several scholarships to members who have demonstrated excellence both in and out of the classroom. Our generous donors hand-deliver scholarships to recipients at our annual Scholarship Dinner, where we celebrate our member’s hard work, determination and bright futures.

Ann & Bill Comaskey Scholarship Fund

The Ann & Bill Comaskey Scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior who has inspired others through their unselfish service to others.

Community Involvement, Empowerment, and Leadership Opportunity (CIELO)

Established in memory of a staff member’s social justice-committed parents, CIELO honors a graduating senior Club member or young alum who plans to give back – whether it’s by attending a pre-law or public policy program, an education major intending to work in underperforming schools … or something else. Special consideration will be given to those who are the first in their family to attend college.

The IA Financial Advisors Future Business Leader Scholarship

The IA Financial Advisors Future Business Leader Scholarship is awarded to a club member who exemplifies IA Financial Advisors core ethos by contributing to their community, or who is active in their community involvement through mentorship, volunteer opportunities, and/or community activism. Special consideration will be given to those who pursue a business program or are interested in the finance field of study.

Kumar Family Scholarship

The Kumar Family Scholarship was created in honor of a former Club member's parents for instilling the belief that education is a key piece in liberation. As immigrants, her parents worked hard and showed her that education can break barriers, create opportunities, and become our greatest tool in life. This scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior who has exhibited a strong passion and dedication to their studies.

Pasquale J. DiBara Scholarship

The Pasquale J. DiBara Scholarship is awarded to a Club member who is a first generation college student from his/her family and exhibits leadership, hard work and dedication.
